A medieval manor house with a 15th-century Gothic doorway. Today it is a private home.
The square in front of the Palacio Ducal, open to the valley. Most walking routes start here.
A 16th-century Renaissance palace where the Princess of Éboli was held prisoner. She could only look out of the window onto the square for one hour a day, which is how the Plaza de la Hora got its name. Guided tours.
One of the old gates into the village, on the way to the convent of San Francisco.
A 16th-century octagonal fountain with a spout facing each point of the compass.
A must. Home to the world’s most important collection of Gothic-Flemish tapestries (Tournai, 15th century) and the crypt of the Princes of Éboli.
Founded by Saint Teresa of Ávila. Its paintings tell the story of her time in the village. About 2 km away: drive, or follow the Convento del Carmen walk.
